This is my simple spruce up for the same old rice. Your favourite variety of white rice can be used and will turn deliciously.
Ingredients

3 garlic cloves, minced

4 tablespoons cooking oil

1 tablespoon Greek or Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon salt

2 lemons, juiced
-
2 cups of your favourite variety of white rice

3 ½ cups water (more, if needed)
Directions
Heat oil, over medium heat, in a medium sized pot. Sauté minced garlic and your choice of seasoning until aromatic.
Add rice to the pot and stir well. Season the rice with salt.
Juice both lemons into a measuring cup and then add enough water to make a ½ cup of liquid. Pour into the pot of rice along with the remaining 3 cups of water. Stir and then bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Simmer the rice for 15 minutes.
Turn off the stove burner and leave the pot covered for 5 more minutes, until rice is soft.
