Apple Compote:
Directions
Pork Chops:
Heat oil in a heavy bottom skillet, over medium heat.
In a shallow dish, combine flour, bread crumbs, and seasoning salt.
In another shallow dish, beat both eggs well.
Dip each pork chop into the eggs and then dredge both sides of the pork chop into the bread crumb mixture.
Fry the pork chops, on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Keep chops in a warm oven while preparing the apple compote.
Apple Compote:
Peel, core, and slice apples.
Over medium heat, melt butter in a large pot.
Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar into the pot and mix well. Cook until the sugar has melted.
Add apples and ½ cup of water into the pot and stir to combine.
Make a slurry with corn starch and remaining ¼ cup of water. Pour into the pot and stir.
Let the mixture come to a boil, over high heat, then reduce heat and allow the mixture to simmer until apples soften.
Serve each pork chops topped with apple compote.
Enjoy 🖤
