Simple. Frugal. Basic. Rice Balls
by Jesi LopezWe like to make rice balls to accompany any saucy or stew like main dishes. When I make Butter Chicken, rice balls are usually made too.

Starchy, white rice is perfect for this recipe. I usually use basmati or jasmine rice and both varieties work really well. It’s not fancy but it makes a delicious addition to your meal.
Ingredients
-
3 cups cooked white rice
Directions
Prepare your choice of rice according to package instructions. Set aside.
Fill a large bowl with cold water and add enough ice cubes to keep the water nice and cold.
In the center of a medium to large piece of Saran Wrap, place ¾ cup of cooked rice. Gather the Saran Wrap around the rice and firmly form rice into a ball, twist the wrap to close.
Submerge prepared rice ball into ice water and set aside. Continue the steps until all of the rice is used.
Store at room temperature until your main dish is ready to serve.
