The light drizzle of syrup over the carrots helps them to caramelize and bring out the most delicious flavour. This recipe is a perfect way to amp up your side dish game.
Ingredients

7-8 carrots, washed and peeled

Drizzle of olive oil

Drizzle of pancake or maple syrup

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Red pepper flakes. according to taste
Directions
Preheat oven to 425°F.
Cut carrots into sticks and place them on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
Drizzle carrots with olive oil and syrup, enough to lightly coat carrots.
Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Toss the carrots to combine seasonings. oil, and syrup.
Roast in the oven for 20 minutes.
