Grandma’s Spaghetti

Grandma’s spaghetti is a core memory meal from my Grandma to you. This heirloom recipe is a family favourite that I use in other pasta dishes, like Lasagna. I hope that you enjoy it as much as we do!
Ingredients

1 ½ pounds ground beef

3 garlic cloves, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 cup red wine
-
1 can sliced mushrooms
-
1 can tomato or mushroom soup
-
1 can (680 mL) tomato sauce

1 onion, diced
-
2 celery stalks, diced
-
Fresh basil, cut into ribbons (optional)

Italian seasoning, to taste

Salt & black pepper, to taste
Directions
Set Instant Pot to sauté function. Add ground beef and minced garlic to the pot and sauté until ground beef is cooked through.
Pour in the red wine and soy sauce and stir to combine.
Add in diced celery and onions, stir and then allow the liquid in the pot to reduce.
Pour in tomato soup, tomato sauce, canned soup of choice, mushrooms, and basil. Season sauce with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
Cover the Instant Pot and allow it to simmer or slow cook until ready to serve.

Recipe Note
*If you enjoy more vegetables in your meat sauce, feel free to add them to the sauce.
*If you don’t have an Instant Pot, this sauce can be prepared in a large pot on the stove.
